Kington carriages are one of the few remaining Wheelwrights still operating in the UK.

Here at Kington carriages we make new carriage and cart wheels, we also repair, re tyre and re rubber any wooden or steel carriage wheels. We also make shafts steam bent and laminated.

We can build or restore any type of horse drawn vehicle, including painting and lining. We paint wagons and drays in the traditional Romany way. We have been doing this for over 40 years, and I was lucky to serve a proper apprenticeship with the late Tom Clark, a wheelwright from Buxton who has been in the trade for over 60 years
